Let go of the games that don’t serve you

Instructions

  1. Identify your ego states.
Ask yourself which state is reacting in certain situations. Is your Adult state trying to diffuse a situation, or is the Child state trying to make it worse?
  2. Analyze your reactions to underlying games.
Think back on the major reactions you had today and what your goal was. If you got angry today, analyze why. Was it because someone else was in the wrong, or were you playing a game of “See What You Made Me Do?”
  3. Stay aware of the games you play.
Once you become aware of the games you play, you can begin to free yourself from the ones holding you back. Write them down and note them when they happen. Eventually, you’ll be able to stop the unwanted games in their tracks.
