Find out what money means to you

Instructions

  1. Find your “why.”
Ask yourself why you’re pursuing money. In what area of your life would you achieve ultimate satisfaction if you were suddenly given all the money you wanted?
  2. Specify the need that will be satisfied with the money you’re trying to pursue.
Is it a personality need such as certainty and comfort, or a spiritual need like personal growth and contribution? Note what type of need isn’t being met in that particular area of your life.
  3. Try meeting it without money.
You can meet many of your personality and spiritual needs without money. Work on forming deep relationships with people, volunteering where needed, and becoming part of a group that looks out for one another. If you still feel constrained by the need to expand any of these areas, then you may have found out what you could use your money for!
