Learn to deal with the criticism and disapproval others may give you when you are trying to make positive changes.

When you are working toward achieving your goals, you may encounter resistance from some of the people around you as they work according to their own agenda. Regardless, stick to your goals and try to do the best you can—ignore the criticisms of the unsupportive people around you.

Instructions

  1. Spend more time with people who are supportive of your decisions.
These are the people you can confide in. Think about the people you currently spend time with: When you talk about making positive changes in your life, do they respond with support and positivity? Similarly, minimize the amount of time you spend with those who respond negatively to the idea of you making a positive change.

  2. Stick to your goals, even when things get difficult.
You may notice life getting harder as you try to make positive changes. Whenever you feel discouraged, tell yourself, “As long as I keep working toward my goals, I will achieve them.”

  3. Motivate yourself and believe that you are awesome.
Every morning, tell yourself, “I am perfect in my own way.” Believe in yourself, and you will be able to achieve anything you set your mind to.
