Make the three commitments that will help you achieve success.

Making these three commitments will help you focus your time and energy in the right place; plus, it will help you switch your mindset to a productive and effective one.

Instructions

  1. Commit to following the path of mastery.
Remember, mastery is a path you go down, not a destination you arrive at. Give the best you have to become the best you can at your most important work.

  2. Move from “E” (Entrepreneurial) to “P” (Purposeful).
Shift your mentality from one of “I am doing this to do the best I can” to “I am doing this to do it the best it can be done.” Understand that you may have to change your habits and daily activities to truly be able to achieve your final goal. Commit to doing whatever it takes, even if it means you have to adopt a new way of thinking, new skills, or even new relationships.

  3. Live the accountability cycle.
Actions determine outcomes, and outcomes determine actions—it’s a cycle. To achieve the results you desire, you must take complete responsibility for your actions and outcomes. The next time you are faced with an obstacle, seek and acknowledge the reality of the situation and find a solution for it. Don’t avoid or fight it, don’t try to shift blame for it onto someone/something else, don’t make excuses to avoid responsibility, and most importantly, don’t wait and hope for change. You have to accept accountability—get out there and make the change you want to see.
