Practice conversation without “but”

It’s very hard to overcome resistance. It is much easier to convince someone by building agreement and rapport.

Instructions

  1. Find a person with whom you can debate. Then choose a topic and take opposite sides.
    It would be best if both of you really believe in the corresponding idea.

  2. “Argue” together using the skills described in the habit: Words and phrases that create rapport.
    Remember not to denigrate the other’s point of view, instead strive to find commonality.
