Using continual learning as a tool for increased mental health.
The brain is like a muscle. The more you exercise it, the healthier it gets. There is a great deal of research that shows that continuing to learn new skills throughout life keeps our brains healthy, active, and young. Exposing ourselves continually to material that expands our knowledge also allows us to broaden our horizons. This not only helps us to grow and evolve, but also allows us to examine our own paradigms and ways of seeing the world, which is essential for our effectiveness of how we operate in the world.
