Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing someone else’s.

Listening to a recital of your faults is pretty difficult, so remember that the next time you need to alert someone to their mistakes. If you begin by listing all their flaws and embarrassing them, you destroy their ego, and they will be less likely to listen to you.

When you humble yourself by mentioning the mistakes you have made in the past, the other person does not feel insulted and will be more likely to refrain from making the same mistake in the future.
